Be Enthused: Wendy Hurst Portrait. Salt Lake Editorial Portrait Photographer.

Wendy Hurst Portrait, formerly known as Perceptive Portraits (perceptiveportraits.blogspot.com) is the new name of my photography brand. By starting with a name more specific and personal, my goal is to emphasize a cause I'm passionate about: empowering women. Self image is difficult to master when influences around us provide so much conflicting information about who we should be or what we should look like or how much--or how "little"--we should value ourselves as women.

I'm a photographer who sews, and I do both to inspire you--everyone, but especially women--to be enthused about your craft, even if your craft is simply being happy with you who you are.

It's my hope that my photography and the wisdom of those I photograph can inspire hope and courage to keep on shaping that person you want to become and to love the person you already are. You're beautiful as you and I absolutely encourage that.

Come follow me on Facebook (www.facebook.com/WendyShootsIt) to get the first look at all my photo shoots, or sign up for email notifications when I post something here. Stylized photo shoots will include all the steps, from start to finish, of how we go from concept to final product so you can get a feel for how I work and, whether you're a photographer or not, maybe get a little inspiration along the way.

Be enthused about your craft.

You can also keep up with my sewing at wendysewsit.blogspot.com and/or www.facebook.com/wendysewsit.

Wendy Hurst Portrait: The New "Perceptive Portraits"

Wendy Hurst Portrait is the newest name of "Perceptive Portraits". My previous website and portfolio work is under the business name "Perceptive Portraits" at perceptiveportraits.blogspot.com. Any new work will be posted here at wendyshootsit.blogspot.com.

Wendy Shoots It will feature behind-the-scenes looks at all my photo shoots and show you how I design a shoot from concept to finish with all the steps in between.

Why am I doing it? I want to be a force for good in this world, helping others to find more satisfaction in their craft. Showing my approach to photography and sewing (at wendysewsit.blogspot.com) is one of the ways I hope to achieve that goal.
